Multi-role Signing in Documents & Contracts
Templates give you a consistent way to have your contracts at hand. However, you were stuck manually adding each person’s details every time you sent a document with multiple signers. So, we’ve added support for up to 6 roles per template that you can define as needed. Let’s learn how!
⭐️ How To Add Multiple Roles to Your Documents & Contracts?
Head to the Templates area of the Documents & Contracts tab in the Payments section and create a new template.
Add fillable elements and open the “To be signed by” dropdown menu.
Click “+Add new role” to open the creation module.
Fill out the values for First name, Last name, and email, then click Save; you can use custom values for these fields.
⭐️Why Is This Feature Beneficial To Your Company?
Complex Deal Scalability: You can now route agreements needing multiple signatures in a single send, allowing you to use workflows so each signer receives their document in the order and role you’ve defined.
Workflow Implementation: When using the “Send Document” action with a multi-role template, roles will auto-populate. You can adjust their name, email, or phone at this level; these values take precedence over the template defaults.
Reduce Errors: Role values set on the template auto-populate, reducing missed or mistyped signer info; additionally, missing and duplicate emails will trigger an alert.
No more manually re-adding signer details for every multi-party agreement you send. Documents and Contracts templates can now carry multiple signer roles, allowing you to create the templates that fill your specific business requirements. We hope you enjoy it!
