So, with this update, you can use workflows to automate those tasks thanks to the removal of the “must have a contact” blocker. Let’s check it out!

⭐️How To Add Tasks Without Contacts in Workflows?

1. Navigate to the Workflows tab inside the automation section and create or edit a workflow.

   

2. Select a non-contact trigger—for example, ClickUp New Task or Notion New Database Item.

   

3. Add an action for “Add Task.”

   

4. Set assignee, due date, and priority.

• Flexible Task Management: When the step runs, it will create a standalone task if no contact is present at runtime or attach the task to the contact as usual if one exists.
